New sofas … Pivot!

What’s not to love about new sofas, they totally transform a room. It’s not exactly an everyday purchase so it can take a while to find the one.

Our sofas were over eight years old and lasted so well. I went for a very safe style and colour and they certainly have stood the test of time (and two children!) It was time to venture out of my comfort zone and go for something a little more exciting.

After months of searching and negotiating, I finally found a two sofas that I thought would work for our space and style.

We decided to go for the DFS Joules Patterdale 3 seater sofas, one in navy velvet and the other in silver velvet. We added the encore filling as it was recommended. I planned on sourcing all the cushions from different places as I had created a mood board so all of my colours would tie in nicely.

The cushions are linked below. My first choice of cushion was the William Morris design, the whole room was pretty much styled around this and the colours.

Delivery day arrived and I was very nervous. The only contribution Dan made was the fact he wanted navy not green! So it was all pretty much down to me. However, they were everything I could have asked for, as soon as I styled them with cushions it all came together.

Let me know what you think?
